On a Thursday A and I were talking about different places that we have been to and places that we would like to go to. A mentioned to me that there is one place that she would like to go to that she has always had nice meals at. That place is called The Bonsai and is a place that serves share plates of Japanese food. I thought that this sounded like a great idea. When we were on the way to Bonsai I quickly looked up what the rating was on urbanspoon, this particular restaurant has an 87% ranking so I was thinking it has to be pretty good. Read more →

Munchies sushi, Mt lawley

SONY DSCA found a deal online the other day that she surprised me with. The deal was for $50 dollars worth of sushi from a place called munchies sushi. I hadn’t heard of munchies sushi before so i went on google to do a little bit of research. It turns out that munchies sushi hadn’t been opened very long. Ippudo SG, Singapore

On my second last day in singapore I spent the day wandering along orchard road and doing some shopping. My day started with breakfast at KFC as i saw the other day that they had congee on the menu and i decided to give it a try. To be honest it was pretty disappointing, when you get a really good bowl of congee it should feel really nourishing and should warm you up. This particular congee was thick and incredibly bland. Iku Sushi, Perth

Now Perth does not really have a lot of ‘over the top’ choices for meals. I mean they have the occasional big steak you can order but it is nothing compared to what they have in cities other than Perth. From following food blogs in other countries there are things such as Giant Burgers and hot dogs with a ridiculous amounts of toppings so as soon as i saw that there was this option available in perth i knew i had to take up the option. One of the advantages of working in the city is that when it comes to lunch I have so much choice. This is sometimes a curse as I can wander around for nearly my whole lunch break looking for somewhere to go to.
So the other day I was at work and it was about 9:30 when my mind started thinking about food and what to have for dinner, almost at the same time I got an email from my food obsessed colleague Liana.
