SONY DSCWhen A and I were planning our getaway to Busselton there was one place that I knew I would have to go to. Many years ago i went to Bunbury for a holiday, after having a few beers down the road I stumbled upon a kebab place. I still think about how amazing those kebabs were that day. When the trip with A was being planned in my head one of the first things I said to her was “you know those kebabs that I keep talking about, we definitely have to stop in for one”. Istanbul Turkish Restaurant, Fremantle

On friday i decided to take advantage of the free public transport that was being offered due to CHOGM and take the train to Fremantle. Now I have only been to Fremantle maybe 15 times in my life, I have a few reservations about the place. I was hoping that this trip would change those reservations.

Mash Brewery, Swan Valley

From spending most of my life living in the swan valley I have noticed that in the past 5 or 6 years there have been a huge influx of breweries that have opened in the area. This has caused a huge difference in the type of clientele that attends the spring in the valley event. Previously it was the sort of crowd that are interested in the difference between a wooded and unwooded chardonnay. Now the sorts of crowd that attend spring in the valley are very much a livelier festival type crowd. Read more →
