So I got into uminh okay but it was quite a journey getting there. It started off quite early as we had to get an early start. I was ready to go before sindi! We then headed off from vinh long. One thing that’s annoying is that its only 170km’s to ca Mau get it took us about 5 hours to get there. After about 15 minutes on the road I just ignored what was happening ahead. The reason that I said this is that people drive crazy. There were so many times where we overtook and there was traffic coming the other way! After a short journey we stopped and have some breakfast. That was pretty good; I had my usual, broken rice and an iced coffee. Next we went back on the road again. This time I got annoyed by the music, it’s really not very good in this country. Well the opera music is quite good but the music we had to listen to on the journey was low grade backstreet boys stuff. Read more →

Mama Tran, Perth

This is a place that i have been pretty excited about for a while. It all started when i was on my holiday in Singapore, I was checking out my twitter to see what was going on in Perth while i was overseas and i saw a lot of people talking about a particular place in Perth called mama trans. So i asked google for advice and it mentioned that it was a new noodle place that has opened up less than a 5 minute walk from my work! This could be interesting. Read more →

My Vietnam Holiday, Part 3

Well it’s a bit delayed but I decided to write in my diary. Last time I left off I just had a little bit of a nap, when I had woken up Dylan had invited me to a wedding. The wedding was his cousins wedding. So I ran upstairs and quickly threw something on and then we got on the motos and headed there and Dylan’s dad was waiting for us when we got there. When we got to the wedding there were about 40 people there so it was quite a small wedding. It was in a function centre like weddings here but there are a couple of differences, namely that the grooms parents and the brides parents both enter the dining room at the same time. Then the bride and groom enter the dining room and as they do this they are holding sparklers. Read more →
